Motors In Wheels
The SIM-LEI

In Tokyo there has been a car show. There has been many electric cars in the show but nothing like this one. The SIM-LEI can travel about 200 miles in a single charge and can go from 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds. Believe it or not the performance comes from the wheels and not under the hood. So it has 4 motors, 1 in each wheel. That is a total of 260 kilowatts to use. If this car ever gets mass produced, the car cost will be around 32,000.

Internet Explorer now owns less customers!

Internet Explorer now owns less than 50% of its customers. 49.63% to be exact. Then Firefox is the runner up which has 21.20% of the webs traffic. Then comes Google chrome and Safari with 16.60% and 8.72%. These percentages are for desktop users only. If we are talking about devices like the ipod, ipad, iphone, macs etc, the most used browser would be safari because its the default browser and for some the only browser they have to use so they take up 62.17% of the webs traffic. The video shows how Firefox and IE are the top browsers and shows their speeds as well.

Google's Revenue Soars!
Google +
10 million to 40 million Users

Under CEO Larry Page, Google has embarked on a series of bold bets, including Google+ and its Motorola acquisition.
Google's Google plus has increased to 40 million users increasing its revenue. That's a big increase from the 10 million users Google+ had in its last quarter. The network opened to the public in late September. Google said it earned $9.72 per share. Analysts estimated earnings of $8.74 per share. Google plus alone comes out to 388,800,000 dollars. Right now Google's revenue is 7.5 billion dollars. I personally thought Google plus was not going to do well but clearly I was wrong.

Hot Air for fuel in the future
For centuries, architects have taken advantage of rising heat to help cool some structures. Solar chimneys allow the rising air to go out of the building, taking the heat with it. Today, Australian entrepreneur Roger Davey wants to take advantage of that phenomenon. He wants to create, capture and control hot air to help power cities. He plans to build a huge solar updraft tower, 2,600 feet tall, in the Arizona desert. As the hot air moves into the tower, it would turn 32 turbines, spinning them fast enough to create mechanical energy, which generators convert to electricity. His company, EnviroMission, says such a tower can create up to 200 megawatts of power, enough to power 100,000 homes. He says they don't intend to put coal or nuclear or alternative power out of business, but want to be a strong, no-carbon source.

The new service will offer console games for Microsoft's Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 for an extra monthly fee.The change will put pressure and compete with GameFly. My First Blog Post!

My name is Franny Garcia. I love to play soccer. I also like to watch the Jets and Giants play and the New Jersey Devils win the Stanley Cup. What I don't like is waking up early and doing to much homework. I play for the JV Hasbrouck Heights/Wood-Ridge soccer team and we are currently 2-1. I played soccer since I was 8 and i am looking forward to play for many more years of soccer. I have two brothers that play soccer as well. They are also in the team of wood-ridge. My favorite food is breaded chicken with mash potatoes and rice.
